“Space Maker” – Overview

The user creates dynamic planes using a laser pointer. Once the planes are established, the user can push the planes forward and back. There will also be a simple gesture to create a window. (or, planes within a certain size will always create windows rather than walls.

[Laser Pointer Interface:

Holding laser pointer in open space for 2 seconds creates rectangle drawing anchor. Releasing laser point ends drawing and creates rectangle.

Dragging laser pointer from within a rectangles border up pushes rectangle out. Dragging down pulls rectangle in.]

“Space Maker” Comp Cameras/Spatial Media final

A projected environment that attempts to create the feeling of a larger space for a single user. The piece dynamically detects the viewing angle of the user to generate the virtual projected plane.
